


Last Monday we were invited to The Gaucho Grill at Palms Hotel in Bidaa to try out the new items on the menu. Of course to many of you Gaucho Grill is not a new place to visit , its already a famous place for their delicious steaks but this time we were there to deliver our experience of trying some of the new items in Gaucho Grill menu. When we first entered the restaurant, we were greeted by the staff and the chef who joined us for a little chit chat where he told us the story about the history and the origin of Gaucho Grill in addition to the type and the quality of meat and products they assure to bring into the restaurant to maintain the quality of their food! We tried different kinds of starters and appetizers, salads and of course for the main dish the steak and burger, the food is really good and delicious, one of the best in Kuwait, and it was really a good place to try! Speaking of the place , since it is our first time to visit the one in the palms, what we noticed is that the atmosphere of the place is really quiet, romantic and perfectly fits for couples! Not like the one at the Avenues. Now lets share some pics with you from our table

Ten years “crowned” with three colors!
Each year Kuwait witnesses a much awaited culinary festival called Horeca. Organized by the forward-thinking Leaders Group, this gastronomic trade event took on an elevated level this year. The venue features exhibitions, F&B supplier booths, seminars, and cooking demonstrations. With over 50 participating companies, and thousands of visitors, one of the main events, nevertheless, is the cooking competition. One hundred and fifty chef participants from different restaurant establishments partake in an extremely challenging creative cooking competition which is judged by some of the best experts in the F&B industry.
Led by group executive head chef, Louis Kenji Huang, Maki Chefs went up against some of the best in the business in the long-anticipated Live sushi creation competition. Chefs Louis, Ranjan, and Jaya went on to dazzle the audience and judges with their sushi making skills. Incorporating different complex techniques and multiple, sophisticated ingredient layers, Chef Louis Kenji Huang of Maki earned a gold medal for best live sushi creation and display. Chefs Jaya and Ranjan collected the silver and bronze medals for the same competition, thus registering a Maki “sweep”! In the live “cooking from the basket” event Chef Louis, assisted by skillful Chef Pathirana earned a bronze medal. Very well deserving of the next prize, Chef Louis and staff used the most advanced hygiene methods which have long been applied inside Maki’s kitchens, thus reaping the prestigious Boeker award of “best food hygiene and safety”, in both the “live sushi competition” and the “live cooking from the basket” competition. It is noteworthy to mention that among the 150 competitors, Boecker only offered four awards, two of which were deservedly claimed by Maki Chefs.
It is also worthwhile to mention that considering a highly elevated, competitive atmosphere, Maki’s Chefs, who were celebrating “ten years of magical cuisine”, went into the competition with more in sight than just “awards”. Maki Chefs’ aspirations were to contribute to the local culinary culture, entertain show visitors and judges, and set the bar higher for next year’s event in terms of creativity, taste, and hygiene. Until next year, Maki’s Chefs will continue to work hard, and come up with yet more tantalizing, delicious, elegant creations.

Last week, we were invited to the soft opening of RowdyTaco, the American franchise that opened in Kuwait by Kayan food company.
Rowdy Taco specialized in Mexican food, and what makes it special is that all the food and the sauces presented are freshly made all day long, ingredients are organic and they use daily fresh meats to serve the best tacos! We have tried so many kinds of tacos, and also tried the chicken quesadillas which were really delicious!!
Rowdy Taco serves all kinds of tacos, Quesadillas, salads and sweets. They also serve breakfast and open 24 hours 7days a week!
RowdyTaco is located in Mahboula at Ghalia and Alia towers, a very nice area for food lovers!!

The other day we had a really exceptional and special dining experience at the Japanese restaurant KOJI located down town in Kuwait City!
We received an invitation to pass by and try out the place. The fun began straight with the warm greeting of KOJI’s lovely and professional waitresses dressed wearing traditional Red Kimonos, which looked lovely.
The menu was so great and had so many varieties to choose from appetizers, sushi, noodles, salads, rice, etc… The food was delicious, presented nicely and the portion is fair enough and satisfying . The service was very good as well; the waitresses are friendly, professional and well trained!
On the other hand, a plus to our special experience we must admit that the atmosphere is quiet nice, we also loved the private room we sat in , and not to forget the design of the place being cozy and inviting.
We really recommend the KOJI restaurant to all our fans who are seeking a different Japanese dining experience in Kuwait.

We ere invited to the soft opening of the new restaurant in town
” Ribs & Rumps”
Located in Mangaf area at “Menu’s” .
Honestly, we have tried out the restaurant before in Dubai, and we are happy after the long wait its now brought to us in Kuwait to experience and indulge in the casual dining of ribs and steak in a different way! The decoration of the place is really nice and modern, ambiance is super friendly and fun!
After the lovely and friendly greeting by the restaurant manager and staff, we were offered to choose from the menu which had a big variety of starters, main dishes, drinks and sweets. The food was served in nice presentation and was deliciously prepared!!
It’s worth the visit to Menu’s in Mangaf and try out “Ribs & Rumps” and now we
will leave you with a tour around place & it’s dishes
