It’s mid-March, the weather can’t decide which way is up, and it left me in a very in-need-of-pampering mood, and most certainly a nail-spa would be on the top of my list of places to just go and get that! Quite luckily I was asked by Ilsul6ana to review the place and in particular their Minx service. I heard a number of mixed opinions about the MeTime Nail spa from some of my old friends, but seeing is believing they say, so I just had-to find out!
Ok I wanted to start to write about Wataniya Airways, but I will leave that for next week. Since I’m having a mood against Cinescape, well I always had but now it went over the limit. I’m not even gonna talk about how they release movies that are already out on dvd and even on TV!
The first thing was already mentioned by a reader here in the blog, you can read it here , they wanted to widen their The Collector’s poster so they googled the collector and I guess that they saved the first picture that came up and used it! Way to go!
Now, they can’t even spell Mel Gibson’s name! DAMN YOU he is my favorite actor and you HAVE to know how to spell his damn name if you are gonna edit and make some fancy pictures to use in your website!

A couple of days ago, I received a package from the kind people of “Tamreya” including their variety of tamreya added to it 4 new items that completes their collection. For those who don’t know “Tamreya”, it is a place that sells tamreya (slowly cooked dates mixed with butter and cardamom). I remember my Grandma used to make her special tamreya in the time of Ramadan every single year, but “Tamreya” took the definition of Tamreya to a whole new level by infusing their bites with a lot of flavors (Chocolate, Coconut, Digestive crumbs, M&M’s, sesame … etc).
Hello everyone, this is my story, I hope you can contribute with your comments and let me know what you think.
I met someone, first we were friends, I knew she had someone else in her life, someone who is way older than her, someone who is married with kids, yet she loved him, and she says that he does as well. After few weeks we found ourselves falling in love, even though I knew she loves someone else, but I believed that she would change, and she would realize the fake life she is living in. I would fight with her on and off about that, threatening her to leave her for good unless she leaves him, but why I am doing this? Shouldn’t she leave him because she loves me? Well sometimes she says you are my true love, but if so why is she doing that then? Please someone explain to me?
The problem is I’m too weak to leave her, yet I don’t want her to leave him because I know that is not going to happen. I can see it in her eyes. I can hear it from her voice, from her cry. I’ve been with her for three years now, on and off.. sometimes I just try not to think about it, but I can not. The thing is.. I know that man and I see him almost every week, he knows me, but he doesn’t know that I talk to her and of course he doesn’t know that I know about how he is talking to her.
We talked about marriage, and how she will change when we get married, and that she would leave him by that time, but wait a minute.. Why would I expect that? Wait a minute.. why would I marry someone who loves me yet, they don’t prove it? What would my friends and other people say if they know What I’m going through? Would they understand how much I love her? Or should I just end this before they even realize it? Should I wake up from my dreams as well and go live my life? Please Help!
Nstyle is one of the first nail specialized places to open in Kuwait. I remember how psyched I was about them opening and how it was such a treat whenever I did my nails there. So, I was excited about having the chance to review their MINX service for ilsul6ana.
Nstyle is a Nail Lounge that has locations in various countries around the Middle East. They are located in Al-Bustan, Salmiya. Check out their website for more information. LINK
When I first arrived I met Mrs. Rima Al-Kalouty. She was very sweet and welcoming and helped me feel very comfortable and was eager to answer and explain all of the questions I asked her.
I was surprised when I saw that the salon had kept its standards. It didn’t change much since I first came in 2003, yet it still had its neat, fresh, and clean look. It didn’t look outdated but classic and timeless. It is very spacious and “shar7” as you can see in the pictures below. Not only did the place look clean, but all the Nail Technicians looked very clean in their white uniforms- this is definitely a plus. You want someone clean and tidy to take care of and handle your delicate nails when going to salons.
This is the entrance area:
Check out the cool Oxygen Bar:
Here’s where you get to pick out your nail polish color when you first enter. They carry Essie and almost all of the classic and newer limited edition colors were available.
Last Tuesday, I had a call from my sister asking me what dessert to bring for our family gathering that evening, and I told her to give me a couple of minutes to see what’s on my list to try :p Gave her a call and I told her: let’s try this new home business (Desserts) place .. it’s called Formaggio Cake.
Well, I had my share of few ups and many downs trying home business sweets. I tried originals, copycats, cupcakes… You name it, I tried it! :p and I can’t hide the truth that I was on the verge of giving up on the home business era .. Until we got this little devil.
A couple of days ago, I got a sneak peek to an Italian restaurant that might change the way we look at food. A friend of mine got me in to make an HONEST review in the soft opening of Melenzane’.. First of all, what does Melenzane means? Well it simply means “Eggplant” or in a Q80 accent “Baidiyaan” :p this restaurant has a real concept! Well let me tell you the story of Melenzane’ .. An air cargo has a container that is shipped from Sicily, Italy to Kuwait… Suddnely, An accident happens… which resulted in an error to the container… the consequences? Upside down restaurant! Everything starting from chairs, tables, and the bottles is upside down and even the name of the restaurant is written in an opposite way!
I am honored to have the exclusivity to be one of the first bloggers in Kuwait to write a full review of this modern Italian restaurant. As always, I will be telling you what’s hot and what’s not, like I always do … So here we go
The place is very tiny, yet cozy, yet authentic, yet it’s hip with “loungey” music… I know! Such a weird combination!
We got in and had our reserved UPSIDE DOWN seating area hehe :p swiftly we had the menu, ordered a lot of stuff and while we kept waiting, we had a complimentary of pizza bread with light tomato sauce and marinated mushrooms .. Not bad but not something special either… After all it was free :p
Soon after we got our complimatry bread, we got our first course in the menu.
I have stumbled upon a program today called BumpTop 3D which proved to be really useful to people with messy desktops…What this program do is simply convert your desktop into a 3D room where all your pictures, documents can be placed on the floor of that room which is your desktop background. Sticky note, picture frames, applications and printers can be placed on the wall of that room…
I can go on and on explaining but i thought this youtube video will do much more justice to what this program is capable of…
and here is the link to their website in case you want to know more about it and download it…and its available for both Windows’ (XP, Vista, 7) and Mac’s…
This might seems a bit of departure from the usual reviews seeing by me but I guess it might be worth it. Last week, my Mom came to me with a shiny huge looking “Ma6arra” and said try this! .. what is this? She said I just came from “Jam3iyt el ‘9a7ya” and I found out this place where it sells different kinds of “Gahwa” and they put your gahwa in this kind of “Ma6arra” which guarantees that your “Gahwa” stays hot for 12 hours straight and another 12 hours for the same quality taste. Anyway, Mom brought us home “Gahwat Newat el Bala7” which I never tasted or heard of before :p so I had a taste of it and I was really surprised! it was a really good coffee!
I took the menu from Mom and the first thing that caught my eyes is the design. It looked fancy and eye catching :) I opened the menu and I was amazed by the different types of coffee they had. It gave me the feeling that I’m sitting and drinking gahwa “Bel Zelfy” :p Don’t ask me why! Hehe :p
I was so interested in this that I had to go back to “Dalla wa Finjan” firstly because I wanted to see it by myself. Secondly, because I wanted to try something else and thirdly, I had a lot of questions in mind. I went to the place and saw 2 “Nobyeen” a man and a woman selling at that place and they were very nice people :) I Said hello and ordered “Gahwa bel 7aleeb oo el Za3fran” and while waiting for my gahwa, I asked them the first and the main question .. Why is it that “EXPENSIVE”? But I got no answer! “ 3ala golathom 3abdn ma’moor” :p they don’t have anything to do with the pricing. Moreover, from my conversation with them, they told me every type of gahwa you order comes in “1 liter ma66ara” and every time you order again, you could bring the same “ma66ara” and get a discounted price of “3 KD”. Although, they are displaying all types of coffee “Bon”, they don’t sell them to customers.
Anyhow, I took this “1 Liter” ma6arra and got back home, opened it, brought “el Fenayeen” and sat with my family and each one of gave it a try .. Drum rolls sound :p ….. We all liked it! 3ala golat omy “Ree7atha ‘7aneena” J It’s like the typical “gahwa 7elwa + 7aleeb“ I think it’s the kind of Gahwa that you could drink after dinner, or if you are “Mo’7ayam” :p so it’s probably a wintery type of drink.
All in all, I really liked their gahwa but the biggest drawback is the price. Most people will not be interested buying gahwa for this kind of price. The owners HAVE TO decrease their pricing as soon as possible or they will see themselves going out of business before you say “Gahwa” :p

The owner of Munch, Dana Al-Salem, approached iLSuL6aNa to review Munch BBQ. Being a favourite guest writer, iLSuL6aNa had no second thoughts but to turn to “Yours Truly”
So I contacted sweet Dana for all the arrangements, called friends and got them all excited, had no lunch, and got prepared to enjoy the full Munch Experience. We were 12, the BBQ was for 10 pps, and we had leftovers!!
One day I was craving for cupcakes, and there aren’t many cupcake places in Riyadh and the one that are there are just average…so I decided to search Facebook for anyone who does homemade cupcake and luckily I found a group called “Hala’s Cakes”…I tried it and finally the craving is over, well at least until you are done with the order then you are craving for them once again…
So Hala has many cupcake choice in different sizes, I tried almost everything and they are all good but the Red Velvets are to die for…they are really really really good, and I have tried a lot of cupcakes so am sure you will also love it…so if you live in Riyadh, make sure you visit her group and make an order of a dozen of Red Velvets then tell me what you think… LINK
For those of you who is familiar with Sugar Daddy’s which is located in Amman, Beirut and Dubai and tried their red velvets, they are no match for Hala’s Red Velvets…
and for those who is familiar with The Hummingbird Bakery in London, well this place has the best cupcakes on Earth so no place is a match for it…
Fast Pass TV is one of they very few sites I know that are reliable when it comes to streaming famous TV shows and movies. You can watch the latest episodes of your favorite TV shows and the most latest movies showing in movie theaters. Yesterday I watched Desperate Housewives Season 6 Episode 12, which actually aired on Sunday evening in the States. It streamed beautifully without any interruptions or breaks.
First of all, please excuse my presentation skills as I did not intend to post about this dish until after I made it, and the picture was taken using my BB. So, apologies.
Now, Since iLSuL6ana is hosting the “Let’s Lose Weight 2gether” campaign, I thought of sharing this healthy, easy to make, and yummy dish. It’s great for light dinners.
Ingredients:
* 4 slices of tomato
* 4 slices halloumi cheese
* 4 Slices avocado
* Drizzle of Extra Virging Olive Oil (EVOO a la Rachel Ray)
Method:
* Grill the halloumi cheese slices in a hot pan. Don’t use any oil as it will cook in its own oil
* Arrange the 4 tomato slices in a plate.
* Place the grilled halloumi slices on top of tomatoes, followed by the avocado slices.
* Drizzle some EVOO.
Et Voila!
