علمت «الراي» من مصادر مطلعة أن السلطات السعودية المعنية بشؤون الحج أبلغت الكويت بضرورة تخفيض عدد حجاج هذا العام من 8 آلاف حاج الى 6400 فقط، بحيث تكون حصة كل حملة 75 حاجا. وأضافت المصادر أن الجهات السعودية المعنية خفضت عدد حجاج الداخل الى النصف، وأن منطلقات هذه التدابير والإجراءات ناجمة عن الحرص السعودي على سلامة الحجاج، وتأمين أداء مناسكهم بكل سهولة ويسر، في ظل التوسعة المجراة حاليا على الحرم المكي الشريف.
