Guys i tried this one for the curve http://www.jcaino.com/vzw/BBM/4.6.1/8900BBM5.jad and it works perfect !! msgs wont delay and all of them are delivered on time .. i think they resolved the bugs and problems .. try it out its for the curve for all the blackberries here is the official website

it will be official in couple of weeks with RIM .. they will release it and every one gonna download it .. it has alot of features .. il moshkila inah no one knows what BBM 5 is capable off .. people just say latnazlona latnazlona wehwa mafeh shay !! 7adah 3ajeeeb ! u can send video , pictures 1 mintue voice note etc .. jaad 3ajeeeeeeeeb and the new download ur friend told u to post about is the new version it works perfect .. im working with it 2 days now all my msgs are delivered perfectly

wow all this misinfrmation. There is no difference between either of the links…it’s still BBM 5.0.0.8 .
The problem was from RIM servers and not from BBM itself. Even users of the old version experienced problems.
Other issues is that your blackberry itself has old software on it. That and a bad install caused the BBM to disappear.
The BBM is still a beta, so use at your own risk. Backup your contacts then install through Desktop Manager or OTA.
also, going back to the old BBM is easy, use desktop manager.
Also, it is recommended to resend all your service books again. An easy way to do this is by going into options> mobile network> blackberry button > diagnostics test > blackberry button > Run. After it is finshed. It s recommended you pull your battery for 30 seconds and then boot.
Its also recommended to have the latest software for your blackberry, as it doesnt work with some of the older softwares and could cause your blackberry messenger to disappear as well.

Use Blackberry Desktop Manager and create a backup.
Its on the Cd that came with your phone. The latest version is 5.0.0.11.
